ABOUT UNIVERSITY

Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute is a State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education in Saint Petersburg city of the Russian Federation. Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute was established in 1897. Since its establishment until today, the Institute has changed several names — Petrograd Medical Institute, the First Leningrad Medical Institute. In 1986 First Leningrad Medical Institute was renamed Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute. Today Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute employs 790 staff people who work in 69 departments, 56 research laboratories, 11 institutes, research institutes, and centers. The base of the university clinics are located in the university and in 43 major hospitals and clinics in St. Petersburg. Every year at the Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute has trained more than 5 000 students, including foreigners. Around 58 000 specialists have been trained since the formation of Saint Petersburg Medical and Technical Institute.

ACCOMMODATION

Dorms consist of eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. Students cannot select their own rooms. We encourage students to apply early, as the number of rooms is limited.
