What is an Admission/Invitation/Visa Letter & Why do you need to apply for it ?

• The Admission/invitation/visa Letter is the major document to if you are going to study in Russia.

• Admission/invitation/visa Letter looks like as follows. It contains a shining hologram with Russian National    Sign on it.

• The student Admission/invitation/visa Letter for education is the official document, which is processed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the General Administration for Migration Issues under Interior Ministry of Russia.

• It 100% confirms that the student is admitted to a particular University & has reserved a seat for relevant program.

• This Admission/invitation/visa Letter is required by the Russian Embassy to stamp the visa on your passport.

• Generally, it takes around 30 days for the invitation/admission/visa invitation to be processed at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the General Administration for Migration Issues under Interior Ministry of Russia.

• The invitation is valid for 180 days from the date of its issuance and you need to apply to the Russian Embassy for a visa during the validity of the invitation/admission issued.

1. Name of the Applicant
2. Date of Birth
3. Passport Number
4. Nationality of the Applicant
5. Place of Issue of Student Visa (The location of the Embassy of Russia)
6. Name of the University, and it’s Location
7. Program of Study
8. Level of Study (Bachelors, Masters, PG Medicine, Ph.D.)
9. Registration number

All issued official Admission/invitation/visa letters are already registered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the General Administration for Migration Issues under Interior Ministry of Russia. Confirmation of these documents is called Visa support letter and should be sent to the Embassy of Russia at the applicant’s country and to applicant as well.
